Delusions

It is said that Joan Crawford uttered her final words from her deathbed to her housekeeper who was praying for her.  After cursing she said “Don’t you dare ask God to help me!”  It fascinates me the tremendous and virulent protest raised against God by those who don’t believe He exists.  I can’t imagine that I would be outraged at someone praying to Odin.  I don’t believe in Odin.  He doesn’t exist.  No point in getting exercised over him.

Richard Dawkins, author of “The God Delusion”, has made a living out of his opposition to God.  I’ve heard him speak.  He seems to believe that he is doing serious and consequential work.  Do all of his arguments matter if there is really no God about which to argue?  Is his book any different than writing “The Unicorn Delusion?”  I know, some will say, “he has made this his life work because so many people DO believe in God.”  So what?  Let us be.  We will all know soon enough.

Psalm 14:1  The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” (NASB)

  1. It’s amazing isn’t it? I have never (nor have found many Christians who have) gone out of my way to visit an evolution group page on Facebook, but they sure like to go out of their way to visit the Christian pages to debate..

My husband says that Christianity will be extinct one of these days. Little does he know he’s speaking prophecy..
